He said the KPU has an important role in the implementation of Regional Election in West Nusa Tenggara. As a state institution in charge of organizing all forms of elections, there are problems that KPU has to face. It becomes the reason why Police and KPU must remain side by side and work together to maintain security and order in West Nusa Tenggara in accordance with their respective main duties and functions.
'' We, the Indonesian National Police take care of security directly. The KPU maintains security by conducting honest and fair (jujur dan adil). So we both have important role,” as saib by said the Head of Public Affairs West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police.

In addition to the media, Suhardi expressed his appreciation to the Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police along with his officers, for the successful implementation of the regional election in West Nusa Tenggara, even though it was held during Covid-19 pandemic.
''I really appreciate the work of the Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Office and his officers in managing problems during the 2020 regional election in West Nusa Tenggara. Even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the implementation of West Nusa Tenggara regional election was running smoothly,” he explained.
What impressed the number one person in the West Nusa Tenggara Election Commission was the way the Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police managed the chaotic regional election in Dompu. Suhardi mentioned the Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police advised him the 2020 regional election should be a lesson-learnt for the next regional election.
"The Chief of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police advised us that what was happened in regional election in 2020 in Central Lombok, Dompu, KLU, Bima, et cetera should be a lesson for us. We expect it won’t happen again,” he concluded.
