Klaten Police continuously monitors intensively tourist areas at Rawa Jombor during New Year’s holiday. The monitoring was carried out since Christmas holiday, which aims to secure the situation from any potential disturbances.
“Rawa Jombor always flocked with people during holiday. This tourist destination has potential to be crowded and things that concerns with the safety of boat tour passengers. That's why we paid special attention to this area," said the Klaten Police Chief, AKBP Eko Prasetyo, quoted from solopos.com, Thursday (12/29).
The head of Klaten Public Relations, Iptu Abdillah, adds there are several steps that have been taken such as reminding the management officials to always paid attention to tourist safety and put high priority on it.
“The most important thing is tourist safety. We have also put banners to remind the management and tourists to always be careful. Use your life jacket, pay attention to passenger capacity, and also the weather," explained Iptu Abdillah.
During holiday season, patrols routinely carried out at Rawa Jombor or any tourist destinations in Klaten. Klaten Police have divided their personnel particularly to tourist destinations.
