The sub-directorate team (Sub-directorate) of Law Enforcement (Gakkum), Directorate of Water and Air Police (Dit Polairud) of Lampung Regional Police managed to discover the location sale and purchase of 6,800 lobster seeds in Pekon Sumber Agung, Ngambur District, Pesisir Barat Regency.
Head of Public Relations of Lampung Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Zahwani Pandra Arsyad explained that the action began with information from residents about buying and selling lobster clear seeds on Sunday, June 20.
"As a result of the inspection, the team found 23 plastic pieces containing approximately 6,800 clear lobster seeds which were not accompanied by documents from the Fish Quarantine, Quality Control and Fishery Products Safety (BKIPM)," explained the Head of PR.
His party managed to apprehend two perpetrators with the initials M and AA who are residents of Sumber Agung.
"It is estimated that the price of clear lobster seeds is IDR 150,000 per head with a total value of goods reaching IDR 1,020,000,000," added the Head of PR.
In addition, the Head of PR also emphasized that the perpetrators could be charged with criminal acts that violate the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 2004 jo. RI Law number 45 of 2009 concerning Fisheries.
"All evidences and the perpetrators will be followed up in accordance with the applicable legal process," he explained.
