inp.polri.go.id - NTB. The Indonesian Police Commission (Kompolnas) directly inspected the preparations for securing Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This review is to ensure that the 2022 MotoGP event runs safely and smoothly.

"We survey the location to check the readiness of the Mandalika MotoGP security plan, for next March," said RI Kompolnas team leader Pudji Hartanto Iskandar to reporters, Saturday (26/2/2022).

According to the data from NTB Regional Police (Polda NTB), Kompolnas is sure that the event will run smoothly. Moreover, every element of NTB has coordinated solidly to make sure MotoGP 2022 Mandalika is a success.

“Our security system is prepared and hopefully everything will be safe. Obviously, this cannot be achieved without solid coordination from all parties involved. This is our project, a state project, and solid coordination is a must, including in ensuring the safety of MotoGP Mandalika 2022,” he said.

However, the team leader of Kompolnas RI still reminded all officials to stay vigilant and anticipate every problem that might occur in the event, including the issue of ticket brokers and hotels that is still being discussed which can harm many parties and cause a commotion.

“From a security perspective, the National Police (Polri) is all set for the event,” he said.

Other things that need to be paid attention to are accommodation availability, either hotels or transportation. And also about the issue of re-paving the track that must be completed according to the target.

“I have just received a report from Vice President ITDC where he said that all undergoing projects of Mandalika, such as re-paving, maintenance, and all other things, will be ready two days before the event,” he said.

He emphasized his wish that there will be no turmoil around the area. He hoped that there are no people who took advantage of this important event by making noise and causing a bad PR for the state.

“I hope there is no sectoral ego. Everyone who is involved in this must unite and work hard to finish all the homework to succeed in this event. I implore you to socialize how the event is going to be, starting from the gate, the queue, the wristband ticket, security, and all other small things. That is something that must be informed,” he said.

The Head of Public Relations NTB, Commissioner Sutrisno H.R., S.H., SI.K., M.S., said that his party, along with Polres, will optimize the socialization to the community around the circuit and the spectators of MotoGP.

“We will optimize the socialization about traffic simulation to the live spectators, and also regarding the use of the drone, ticket/wristband exchange locations, parking locations, and all other things, so the people already know what to do when they get here,” said Commissioner Sutrisno. “Regarding the security, we will deploy additional personnel and equipment from the National Police, and we will escort the logistics of MotoGP. We will also be going to do a simulation in the waters surrounding Mandalika with Polairud Polda NTB, along with maritime stakeholders," stated the Head of Public Relations of NTB.
