Kerinci Departmental Police Found 0.5 Hectare of Marijuana Field in Kerinci Indigenous Forest

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jambi. Kerinci Departmental Police found the 0.5 hectares of Marijuana seeding field at the feet of Kerinci mountain, precisely at the Indigenous Forest of Lempur Mudik village, Gunung Raya district, Kerinci regency, Jambi province, on Thursday afternoon (4/10/21).

Chief of PR Agency of Jambi Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Mulia, confirmed that Kerinci Departmental Police has secured the 0.5 hectares of Marijuana seeding field and found hundreds of various size of plants.

Chief of Kerinci Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Agung Wahyu Nugroho, led the operation to the field in the Indigenous Forest of Lempur Mudik village, Gunung Raya district, Kerinci regency, Jambi province.

The field's discovery comes from public information delivered to Kerinci Departmental Police that there is a field of marijuana. Based on the information Chief of Kerinci Departmental Police formed a team consisting of the Chief of Operations Agency, Chief of Sabhara Unit and the personnel, Chief of Drugs Investigation Unit and the personnel to follow up the information.

At 15.30, the team led by the Chief of Kerinci Departmental Police moved and arrived at the Lempur Mudik Indigenous Forest, Kerinci.

"To reach the location, the team need one hour on vehicle and another two hours on foot", Chief of PR Agency of Jambi Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Mulia, said.

Once arrived at the crime scene, officers found the 0.5 hectares of Marijuana seeding field with no owner in sight and found 150 marijuana stalks, 100 of them heights one metre and the rest have a height of 15 centimetres.

"All evidence stalks are pulled from the root and brought to Kerinci Departmental Police for further development and investigation", Chief of PR Agency of Jambi Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Mulia, said.
