inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. National Police Chief (Kapolri) Police General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., emphasized that the readiness to implement the Travel Bubble for Foreign Travel Actors (PPLN) must comply with the applicable standard operating procedures (SOP) and enforce strict restrictions.
Kapolri inspected the area of the Bandar Bintan Telanim Ferry Terminal in the Riau Islands. Sigit also carried out virtual monitoring at the Nongsapura International Ferry Terminal and Bali Province, Wednesday (9/2/2022).
"This is important because we have to be sure that all SOPs and the existing applications can really detect the virus. Especially with the emergence of new variants, which we inevitably have to face," explained the former Banten Police Chief.
The Chief Police General also emphasized that for the application of the Travel Bubble, all existing applications such as PeduliLindungi, Bluepass, and the Precision Quarantine Monitoring Application must be optimally utilized. “That way we can track those who are confirmed positive and can be directly tracked with these applications”.
"Then the next steps are to carry out further isolation, then the isolation center must also be well prepared so that the risk of transmission to tourists, the public, or workers can really be reduced," explained the Kapolri General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc.
In his observation, the National Police Chief explained that in general, the Travel Bubble procedure had gone well. Even so, Sigit still asks all related parties to continue to ensure that it runs according to the SOP and restrictions.
"There are only a few efforts that need improvement, especially related to ensuring that the procedure goes well. Then efforts to sterilize disinfectants in places where there is a potential for crowds to occur must also be maintained," explained the former Police Criminal Investigation Officer.
