The vaccine inoculation, which was attended by the Head of the Riau Police (Kapolda Riau) Inspector General (Irjen) Muhammad Iqbal, S.I.K., M.H., on Friday (18/2/22) at the Galatama fishing pond at the Rimbo Panjang Blue Tent, Kampar, is part of the simultaneous vaccination across Indonesia led by President Jokowi.
By deploying 51 vaccinators, the aim is as many as 2000 people. The committee provided 2844 doses of vaccine, consisting of Sinovac: 2000 doses, Astrazeneca: 700 doses, and Pfizer: 144 doses.
Moreover, the vaccination was supported by 3 health facilities, is Tambang Health Center, Kampar Police Urdokkes, and Pelita Hospital.
Meanwhile, Kapolda Riau told the media crew that the data on the acceleration of vaccination in Riau Province had shown an increase.
"The acceleration of vaccination in our province is more than 91% for the first vaccine and more than 63% for the second vaccine. We are optimistic that the second dose will reach 70% in early March" said Kapolda Riau.
"We are placed 15th of 34 provinces in terms of a booster vaccination. As of today, our elderly vaccination is more than 65%, and we are optimistic our children's vaccination will reach 70% in early March. We understand that the transmission of the Omikron variant is very fast, we always urge you to comply with the restriction and vaccination," stated Kapolda Riau.
The two-star general said that the vaccine inoculation on that day is more than 50,000. The seriousness and level of participation of the people, according to him, are very high.
