Papua Police Chief Limits Liquor Selling in Papua’s Christmas Eve

Papua Police Chief, Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri instructed police chiefs in Papua to limit the selling of liquors during Christmas and New Year holiday season.

“I have asked police chiefs to limit the selling of liquors in Papua. There shouldn’t be liquor sellings during christmas and new year eve,” says Papua Police Chief in his statements, Tuesday (12/20).

This measure is taken to ensure the atmosphere during the holiday season in Papua is safe and secure withouth any influence of liquors that could lead to criminal actions.

“We appeals the people to focus instead in welcoming the birth of Jesus Christ. Welcome the Christmas as best as you can. Make this christmas as meaningful as you can, so that there would be peace in Papua,” says Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri.

In Christmas, he would also share some gifts to share happines in christmas.

“Same actions would be taken in all of Papua to share gifts around Papau, to around the country. Atleast this would bring happines to the people in this happy days,” concluded Papua Police Chief.
