Kapolda Metro Jaya: 60% Deaths Are Unvaccinated

20 February 2022 - 16:02 WIB
Metro Jaya Police Chief (Kapolda) Inspector General (Irjen) Fadil Imran said that 60% of deaths of Covid-19 were those who are unvaccinated, elders, and comorbid diseases, Friday (18/2/2022).

“I asked my colleagues to help socialize vaccination program to the vulnerable group and those who have comorbid because 60% of deaths of Covid-19 are coming from those who have not vaccinated, the elderly and those who have comorbid,” stated Kapolda.

Irjen Imran continues to remind the community, especially in Jadetabek, to adhere to the health protocols and invites all elements of the community to get vaccinated immediately.

“I never got tired to implore the citizen that has not been vaccinated to straight away get it. Facilities, access, and all other things are here in Tangerang City. Even, we have breakthroughs such as vaccine ambassadors for children, adolescents, and elderly,” said Kapolda.

In the vaccination program at Tangerang City Central Government (Puspem), Polda Metro Jaya aims at 1,300 people, especially the elderly and children, being vaccinated.

“Because the first and second dose has already reached 100%, thus the vaccination for the elderly must be optimized. The first dose of elderly vaccination have only got 84% while the second dose only reached 72%,” said the Two-Star General.
