The Head of Jambi Police, Inspector General Rusdi Hartoni visits East Jambi Regency to meet religious figures at Saint Teresia Church on Tuesday (12/20).
His visit, along with his entourages, was welcomed warmly by Father Saint Gregory the Great Parish, Father Gregory Wahyu.
Inspector General Rusdi says that the visit was to maintain relationships between religous communities, and review the security of Christmas and New Year Eve.
"The state would always be present among the citizens, and a sense of Unity and Diversity must be maintained well because this part of our responsibility too. This also becomes state's commitment to always protect religious communities," Inspector General Rusdi Hartanto in his statement on Tuesday (12/20).
On that occasion, Jambi Police Chief also stated that if they needed extra security in religious activity, police would always be ready and open for service.
Meanwhile, the leaders of Saint Teresia Church also conveys their gratitude to the Jambi Police for their humbleness and honesty in visiting them.
