Yogyakarta Regional Police Chief (Kapolda DIY) Inspector General (Irjen) Asep Suhendar appreciated the success of the Kapolda DIY personnel, in revealing the existence of a 2-hectare marijuana field with 20 thousand marijuana trees, by giving awards to the 29 members of the DIY Regional Police Narcotics Directorate with their outstanding achievements, Wednesday (9/2/22).
Previously, the Directorate of Drug Investigation at Polda DIY succeeded in uncovering and arresting perpetrators of cross-provincial narcotics abuse with evidence of 82 kg of dried marijuana ready for distribution and a 2-hectare marijuana field with 20,000 cannabis plants.
Irjen Asep Suhendar conveyed his gratitude by congratulating the members who received the award. "Especially for members of the Directorate of Drug Investigation who excel in honoring the good name of the Police," explained the Regional Police Chief.
This award is given as a form of appreciation to members who excel in carrying out their duties, especially since this is a national-level achievement. "This award is expected to motivate other members in carrying out their duties," said the Kapolda.
The Regional Police Chief also briefly mentioned the situation regarding COVID-19 in DIY. He said the authorities stayed vigilant against the spread of Covid 19.
"No need to panic, but we have to stay alert. For patients with mild symptoms are advised to self-isolate at home. Keep obeying the health protocols, accelerating vaccinations for both stages one, two, and boosters," explained the Kapolda.
