Tribratanews.polri.go.id-Balikpapan. National Armed Forces Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, together with the National Police Chief General of Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo, reviewing the implementation of the Independent Vaccination at the Balikpapan Sport and Convention Center Building, Balikpapan, Friday (08/06/2021).
This activity is one of the efforts to accelerate vaccination as a gift on the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
In his remarks, the National Police Chief said vaccination was important considering the number of Covid-19 in Indonesia was still quite high. Various efforts and steps have been taken by the Government. All of that, to suppress the rate of growth and save people from the corona virus.
The President said some time ago that the target to be achieved in August is 2 million. According to the East Kalimantan Regional Police Chief's report, today's target is 3,600 doses of vaccine. The first 2,000 vaccines and the second 1,600 vaccines were injected into the community," said the National Police Chief.
Therefore, at the moment of Indonesia's 76th independence day, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit hopes that the target will be achieved so that Herd Immunity will be formed soon.
The National Police Chief asked all components of society and the nation's children together to have a collective awareness, namely 3M and 3T disciplines to unite against COVID-19.
To make this a success, a vaccination acceleration strategy is needed that must touch all levels of society up to the Neighbourhoods level. For this reason, said Sigit, a strong cohesiveness and organization is needed from all relevant stakeholders.
"Invite his friends and family who still don't want the vaccine. So, of course, our hope is that we could return to a new normal situation after herd immunity is formed," concluded the National Police Chief.
According to Sigit, the immediate realization of the vaccination acceleration target will affect the people's economic growth. Given that health is a priority for the movement of residents' activities and economy in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The National Police Chief General of Police Listyo Sigit again reminded the entire community to continue to follow strict health protocols, even though they have been injected with vaccines.
