Jambi Apprehend 10 Suspects of Drug Abuse in The First Quarter of 2022

inp.polri.go.id - Jambi. The Drug Investigation Directorate (Ditresnarkoba) of Jambi Regional Police (Polda Jambi) has succeeded in solving narcotics cases over the past three months, which is five reports and five different crime scenes.


In a press conference held by Polda Jambi, Thursday (10/2/22), it was revealed that the authorities secured 4,143,531 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 104.535 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 12 pills of ecstasy with a total of 10 suspects and one of them is a woman. The suspects all acted as couriers.


Jambi Regional Police Chief (Kapolda Jambil) Inspector General (Irjen) Albertus Rachmad Wibowo, S.I.K., represented through the Director of Ditresnarkoba Commissioner Thomas Panji Susbandaru, S.I.K., said that the Ditresnarkoba Jambi managed to expose methamphetamine and ecstasy drug abuse during the last quarter and managed to secure 4,248.066 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 12 ecstasy pills.


"We managed to secure 10 suspects who acted as couriers and one of them was a woman. We estimated we have saved 221,000 young generations," explained Director Ditresnarkoba Jambi.


He adds that all those illicit goods will be circulated in the Jambi Province and surrounding areas. As for the items that came from North Sumatra, some of them were secured in the territorial waters by Ditpolairud Jambi.


“So far, we are continuing to develop this case to reveal a larger network. And for the perpetrators, we will take firm action,” concluded Director Ditresnarkoba Jambi.
