inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Polda Metro Jaya continues to apply the odd-even policy on 13 streets in DKI Jakarta, even though the status of the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) has been increased to Level 3.
The Directorate of Traffic (Dirlantas) Jakarta Regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya) Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yugo said that his team was still waiting for the central government's decision to be issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), before evaluating this odd-even policy.
Previously, the central government just announced today that Jabodetabek along with the Special Regions of Yogyakarta and Bali will implement PPKM level 3 to control Covid-19.
"Wait for the instructions from the minister of home affairs. Right now, the level has just been announced. But what are critical and essential steps, then about what kind of policies for WFO, or how many are permitted to do WFH, we are still waiting regarding that instructions," explained the Traffic Director in Jakarta, Monday (7/7). /2/22). 22).
Usually, if Jakarta implements PPKM level 3, the number of workers allowed to work in the office is only 25 percent for non-essential and non-critical sectors. With this number, automatically traffic jams in the capital and the number of users of public transportation will also be reduced.
Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yugo also said that until now, based on his coordination with the DKI Transportation Agency, there has been a decline in the number of public transport passengers. Meanwhile, on the other hand, health protocol enforcement patrols will continue to be carried out.
"If it is the enforcement of health procedures, we will promote the distribution of masks, including booster vaccinations and restrictions. We will see later, depending on what the instructions from the interior ministry are like," explained the Traffic Director.
