inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The West Java Regional Police will tighten the enforcement of health protocol discipline following the implementation of level 3 community activity restrictions (PPKM) in several areas of West Java.
The West Java Regional Police Chief (Kapolda Jabar) Inspector General (Irjen) Sutan, said the police would take firm action against the violators. The sanctions are persuasive, educative, and if necessary, they will take decisive action to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Currently, other than Bandung Raya, which includes Bandung City, Bandung Regency, West Bandung Regency, Cimahi City and Sumedang Regency, PPKM Level 3 is also implemented in Bogor City/Regency, Bekasi City/Regency and Depok City (Bodebek).
"We have ordered our members to follow the new instructions of Minister of Home Affairs (Imendagri) and immediately carry out socialization and intensify public communication regarding the implementation of PPKMI Level 3 in the region," explained the Two-Star General, at the Polda Jabar Headquarters, Thursday (10/02/22).
Kapolda Jabar said that personnel from Polri would be placed in several locations that has crowds potential.
This regular procedure has already been implemented months ago. The authorities will be in places of crowds to give appeals without causing panic. For areas level one and two, the authorities will implores people to adhere to the restrictions and acceleration vaccination.
"Several areas in West Java are still in levels one and two. We will continue to increase vaccination acceleration and socialize restrictions by appealing the mass to wear masks," concluded Inspector General Suntana.
