Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Police have secured 24 suspects from around the country regarding the bomb terror of Astana Anyar Bandung, West Java. From the 24 suspects, six of them were secured om West Java, seven in Central Java, and 11 in North Sumatra.
The Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that his party will continue to improve their security and further developing the case of Astana Anyar suicide bombing.
For the police, the suicide bombing that happened on December 7th, 2022, have become their strong warning to keep improving their security and always be vigilant, especially ahead of Christmas and New Year Eve. Fact is, most of terrorist attacks places of worship other than government buildings.
As anticipatory steps, the Indonesian National Police Chief have ordered the Special Detachment Anti-Terror 88 to improve their security during this year’s Christmas and New Year Eve.
“Especially for the Special Detachment 88 unit, you have to continue improve your security, coordinating with community organizations. We have also asked ex-terrorist to give their socialization regarding the dangers of terrorism. And indeed, all of our measures will be measured carefully,” says Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Monday (12/19).
He also asked police personnel to tighten the security in places of worship.
“On the entrance of churches or other places of worship, we have prepared security door and x-rays, so that we can suppress the potential risks. We will also give our best service such as deploying our K9 bloodhounds and other sources that we have,” adds Police General Listyo.
They will also improve their coordination with the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) and the Strategic Intelligence Agency of TNI (Bais TNI) to ensure the security situation during Christmas and New Year’s night celebrations.
