Inspecting Merdeka Vaccination Event in Huma Betang, Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police Targets 200 Vaccine Doses and Gave Social Aid Packages

To accelerate Covid-19 vaccination to the people, Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, inspected mass vaccination event in Huma Betang, at RTA Milono road Km. 35, Menteng subdistrict, Jekan Raya district, Palangka Raya city, on Tuesday (24/08/2021) at 08.00 local time.

During the visit, the Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police was accompanied by the Chief of Operations Bureau, Police Grand Commissioner Andreas Wayan, several Primary Officials of Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Head of Central Kalimantan branch of Indonesian Ulema Council, Central Kalimantan Regional Administrator of Nahdlatul Ulama, reverends, and members of Huma Betang Humanitarian Solidarity.

Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police stated that this vaccination aims to achieve herd immunity to suppress Covid-19 transmission.

"I hope that vaccinated people still adhere to Health Protocols," Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police said.

In the same place, Chief of PR and Press Agency of Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner K Eko Saputro, added that Police targets 200 doses for this vaccination event, targeting the community, religious, and traditional figures.

"This vaccination event is held in commemoration of the 76th anniversary of the Indonesian independence and 59th anniversary of Television of the Republic of Indonesia, and also an effort in counter-measuring Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan", Chief of PR and Press Agency of Central Kalimantan Regional Police said.

At the end of the visit, the Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police and the entourage distributed social aids of basic necessities to the people and face masks and PPE to the health workers.
