Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, inspected labours' mass vaccination event on Thursday (29/7). Ching Luh Ltd. held the mass vaccination event in cooperation with All Indonesian Trade Unions Confederation (KSPSI) and National Police from July 28 to August 4, 2021.
Chief of Police addressed the workers and labourers in the essential and critical sectors to keep working and adhering to Health Protocols.
In ensuring the production optimation effort, the Chief of Police said that the vaccination programme is required to strengthen the protection towards workers and labourers against Covid-19.
"We know that now our labourer colleague, mainly from exporting companies, are given a chance on conducting its production and following Health Protocols. Another effort is to vaccinate. We hope the workers have higher immunity against Covid", Chief of Police.
According to the Chief of Police, labourers' role is needed in mitigating the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, as stated in the government's policies, considering that fighting Coronavirus requires synergy and hand-in-hand effort with all stakeholders.
On the other side, the Chief of Police said, to prevent and push back rising Covid-19 cases, all elements, including labours, need to implement Health Protocols with discipline such as conducting 5M (wear a face mask, wash hands with soap and running water, keep the distance, avoid crowds, and limit mobility and interaction).
By this vaccination programme towards the labourers, the former Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of the National Police hopes that the workers and labourers could work optimally, which could lead to recovering economic growth.
"We are adjusting our programme, not only here but also in other regions, to together conducting vaccination acceleration events for the labourers, and we hope our labours colleague could be optimally working, and the economic growth could increase," he said.
Even though vaccinated, the Chief of Police still asks the workers and labourers to adhere to Health Protocols by wearing a face mask, keeping the distance, and washing hands.
Meanwhile, the President of KSPSI, Andi Gani Nena Wea, thanks to the Chief of Police for the vaccination programme cooperation. He also said that these vaccination programmes would run in other regions.
"Thank you, Chief of Police. This programme would be run in several regions. This Presisi Vaccination really builds herd immunity. My salutations for the National Police", he said.
The programme targets 14,600 people, with 1,250 people vaccinated daily come from the general public, employees of Victory Ching Luh Ltd. of Pasar Kemis, and KSPSI members.
The vaccine prepared in this programme is 19,500 doses from Sinovac from sources such as the Medicine and Health Agency of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police (5,000 doses), the Indonesian National Police Headquarter (5,000 doses), and Tangerang Regency Government (9,500 doses).
There are 57 vaccinators deployed in this event, consist of vaccinators from the National Police (25 people) and volunteers (32 people). During this occasion, 2,500 packages of social aid were also distributed to the labourers and the general public.
