Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, inspecting mass vaccination event in collaboration with the All-Indonesian Workers Union Confederation (KSBSI) at Elite Ltd., Tangerang, Banten, on Thursday (11/8/2021).
In his opening statement, Sigit said that Police would strengthen vaccination acceleration in agglomeration regions such as Banten. According to Sigit, the Armed Forces, Police, volunteers, and all elements of the community going shoulder-to-shoulder to achieve the Indonesian government's target on vaccination. The hard work has shown its result in Jakarta, in which the first dose has been 100% delivered.
"Thank God, we have achieved 100% (first dose vaccination) in Jakarta. At this moment, I ask all personnel to increase (vaccination) in the agglomeration areas. Banten is included in this region that we have to take care of", Sigit said in his opening statement.
For Banten, according to Sigit, his personnel, aided by all walks of life, would accelerate the vaccination to achieve the government's target. Therefore, the first and second injections are to be increased soon.
"So we would increase the vaccination achievement. I see Banten is still 28% vaccinated on the first dose and about 13% on the second one. We will spur this so we could increase the first and second dose statistics", Sigit said.
Meanwhile, the former Chief of Banten Regional Police also appreciated the workers of KSBSI that have been actively involved in helping to achieve the government's vaccination target to create herd immunity against Covid-19 soon.
"We know, and we admit that our worker colleagues are the state income heroes. From our worker colleagues, we could earn state revenue from export. Therefore, we would keep supporting it", the former Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of National Police said.
Sigit stated that if the workers are vaccinated, the economy will run again. However, Sigit said, they have to adhere to strict Health Protocols.
"So that the workers could be vaccinated even though with tightened Health Protocols so the industrial activities could run and the health of the workers could be maintained", Sigit said.
Besides that, Sigit advised all vaccinated workers groups to adhere to Health Protocols with discipline, considering that those are still one of the efforts to suppress Coronavirus transmission.
If the Covid-19 growth could be suppressed, Sigit said, there would be some adjusted easing policies in the future so that the industrial sector could run with Health Protocols.
"So that public health is getting better and Covid-19 could be suppressed. Meanwhile, we would push the economy to run better", Sigit concluded.
