Indonesian National Police Guarantees Health Workers' Safety in Papua

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police ensures that the safety of health workers in Papua becomes a matter of concern of Armed Forces-Police personnel. Security officers are also returning conditions in Papua to be conducive again.

Chief of Public Information Bureau of PR and Press Agency of Indonesian National Police, Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, after the incident in Kiwirok district, Papua, said that "It is indeed that there is an encouragement to secure the health workers. It has become the attention of Armed Forces-Police so that health services in Papua could run well", he explained.

Related to the request from the Managing Committee of the Indonesian Doctors Association to protect health workers in Papua, it has been a matter of concern by the Indonesian National Police Great Headquarter. "The increase of Armed Criminal Group's activity escalation becomes the attention of both Great Headquarters of National Police and Armed Forces. We are working on it", Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono said.

Meanwhile, for the security of 20th National Sports Week (PON XX) in Papua, the one-star general said that Armed Forces-Police and other institutions had prepared security plans. Not only that, but the personnel also have identified possibilities that may arise, such as disturbance from the KKB. "Indonesian National Police, Armed Forces, and other institutions have prepared security plan from the said event. Police, Armed Forces, and other institutions have certainly prepared preventive measures of disturbance caused by KKB", Chief of Public Information Bureau of PR and Press Agency of Indonesian National Police.

Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono added that Indonesian National Police is trying to provide the best security, and he hoped that PON XX in Papua could run safely and peacefully. The security efforts are conducted, such as regional operations by the Papua Regional Police.
