Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia National Police Headquarters organized simultaneous Social Service (Baksos) activities in 34 Regional Police or throughout Indonesia in preparation for the celebration of 75th Bhayangkara Day on July 1, 2021.
"The implementation of this simultaneous social service is routine activity held every year in celebrating Bhayangkara Day," Chief of Indonesia National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said in his mandate which was represented or read by General Supervision Inspectorate (Irwasum) of Indonesia National Police, Police Commissioner General Agung Budi Maryoto at Bhayangkara Square, South Jakarta, Friday (05/25/2016).
Agung mentioned Chief of Indonesia National Police hoped by implementing this activity, it would support community’s life, especially those whose economy is disrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic or the corona virus.
As for this activity, Indonesia National Police will distribute 272,662 packages of nine-basic-necessity (sembako), 200,000 masks, and 40,000 hand sanitizers.
This is in accordance with this year theme of Bhayangkara Day, 'Transformasi Polri Yang Presisi Mendukung Percepatan Penanganan Covid-19 Untuk Masyarakat Sehat dan Pemulihan Ekonomi Nasional Menuju Indonesia Maju’ (Precise Police Transformation to Support the Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling for Healthy Communities and National Economic Recovery Towards Advanced Indonesia).
In addition, Indonesia National Police will also carry out mass vaccinations to 1,031,056 people simultaneously in 34 Regional Police and other humanitarian activities such as blood donation activities, convalescent plasma donors, cataract surgery, cleft lip surgery, mass medical treatment, and driving liscene issuance service for people whose birthday on July 1, 2021.
"It is hoped through this activity, it can provide great benefits for the community, especially in supporting stable public health condiction. With stable health condition, it will grow a strong soul and high enthusiasm for work so it will recover national economy and the vision of Advanced Indonesia will be easy to achieve," Agung said.
Meanwhile, Head of Traffic Security Corps of Indonesia National Police whose also Committee Chairperson for Bhayangkara social service activities, Inspector General Istiono, mentioned nine-basic-necessity packages will later be delivered to people who really need it.
"To orphans, the poor and the needy, labours and employees who have been laid off, nursing homes, orphanages, social homes, drivers, motorcycle taxis, people with disabilities, retired/warakawuri of Indonesia National Armed Forces (TNI)-Indonesia National Police, medical personnels, MSMEs affected by the pandemic, as well as other community groups," Istiono said when submitting an activity report.
Istiono also said, throughout Indonesia, the Bhayangkara Corps had also distributed 2,521,815 masks and 272,662 bottles of Hand Sanitizer.
