Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Serang. Banten Regional Police crowns the Sukadiri village of Serang city as the Anti-Drugs Resilient Village. The inauguration event was attended by Deputy Chief of Banten Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Ery Nursatari. The event was marked by commitment signing by the related institutions.
Deputy Chief of Regional Police said that law enforcement from the Police personnel to the drug users would be impossible without involvement from the local community.
"The founding of Anti-Drugs Resilient Village is an embryo of public involvement in order to eradicate drugs massively", Deputy Chief of Regional Police said.
Sarbidi (45), one of the residents of Sukadiri village, warmly welcomed the crowning Sukadiri village as the Anti-Drugs Resilient Village. He said that he supports Police personnel's effort to eradicate drugs in the Banten province, especially in Sukadiri village, Serang city because drugs damage the young generation's morale and religious norms.
"As a part of the community, I'm concerning the young generations nowadays. With the crowning of Sukadiri village, the community is ready to help Police to fight drugs trade in Banten province towards brighter young generations", he said.
At the end of the event, Chief of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto Silitonga, really appreciated Sukadiri villagers in supporting Police personnel in eradicating drugs in Banten.
Chief of PR and Press Agency also wished that by crowning Sukadiri village as the Anti-Drugs Resilient Village, it could minimise the drug distribution in Banten province.
