In Achieving Herd Immunity Towards Covid-19, Yogyakarta Special Region Regional Police Held Mass Vaccination for MSME Entrepreneurs

Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Regional Police, in coordination with the local village government, held a mass vaccination event for the micro, small, and medium (MSME) entrepreneurs and the general public in the Sendangmulyo Village Hall on Monday (06/09/2021).
The series of this agenda is a form of care from the DIY Regional Police to the MSME business through mass vaccination and social aid distribution. "DIY Regional Police received the trust from the central government to facilitate the vaccination programme acceleration for the people", Deputy Director of Community Development of DIY Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Sulistyo, said during the event.
Deputy Director of Community Development of DIY Regional Police said that, by achieving herd immunity, the village's economy could recover again. In the future, the tourists are even expected to enter the village despite the implementation of strict Health Protocols.
Chief of 2nd Subdirectorate of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security of DIY Regional Police, Police Commissioner Dwi Prasetyo, addressed that all operational activities for the MSME, either in production or distribution, must fulfil vaccination requirements to prevent transmission and spread of Covid-19.
The hope is that the Barokah Bamboo Craft Centre, which has been an icon and livelihood of the Sendangmulyo resident, could be productive again so that economic recovery and Covid-19 handling could go hand in hand.
"I hope, after vaccinated, people could be healthy and prevented from Covid-19 infection so the MSME entrepreneurs, mainly the bamboo craftsman, could still be productive during the Community Activity Restriction Enforcement (PPKM)", Chief of 2nd Subdirectorate of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security of DIY Regional Police explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of Medicine and Health Agency of DIY Regional Police, Dr Titi Rahma, said that the 1,000 doses of the Sinovac vaccine are expected to suppress Covis-19 infection in the Sindangmulyo subdistrict.
"This event involves health workers from the Head of Medicine and Health Agency of DIY Regional Police and Yogyakarta Health Polytechnic for the screening and injection of the participants", she said.
