Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Palembang. In the last week in October 2021, the Directorate of Drugs Investigation (Ditresnarkoba), together with Resort Departemental Police and Resort in the ranks, managed to secure 42 suspects involved in drug cases.
South Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Toni Harmanto, through the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Supriadi said that in the last week or fourth Sunday in October 2021, members continued to disclose drug cases to suppress illicit trafficking in South Sumatra.
"Our members managed to arrest 42 suspects with 35 cases that were successfully revealed. From the arrest results, we got several dealers and users," said the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner supriadi Supriadi, Monday (11/1/21).
He explained that various efforts were being made to spread drugs in the South Sumatra region.
"We continue to do various ways of eradicating so that the community, especially the younger generation, is not touched by drugs," he said.
The evidence secured from 42 suspects consisted of 216.66 grams of methamphetamine, 68 sticks of marijuana, and 26 pills of ecstasy, which were seized from the suspects.
"From the disclosure of the cases that were successfully uncovered, our members were able to save at least 2,382 children of the nation from the entanglement of illicit goods to be sold by the perpetrators," he concluded.
