In improving the discipline of health protocols and orderly traffic to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and create stable security, safety, order and smooth traffic, the Central Java Regional Police will hold an Operation Obedience Candi activity in 2021 at the Central Java Regional Police Headquarter. The two-star general said that problems in the traffic sector today have developed rapidly and dynamically, especially now that the government is again providing leeway for community activities.

"However, with conditions related to vaccination and in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. As a consequence of that, in this task, we must continue to follow health protocols and equip ourselves with personal protective equipment," explained the Central Java Regional Police Chief.

The Police will carry the 2021 Candi Obedience Operation throughout Indonesia for the next 14 days from September 20 to October 3, 2021.

"Unlike temple obedient operations in previous years, this year is not oriented to direct ticketing. However, all activities are directed at preemptive and preventive patterns in the form of sympathetic and humane actions to the community to build public trust in the Police," explained the Regional Police Chief. The two-star general said, for information, the data on the number of traffic violations in the first semester of 2021 was 90,035 violations, compared to 2020 as many as 733,799 violations.

"This has become a trend, with a decline of 88 percent, the number of fines in 2021 as many as 73,958 compared to 2020 as many as 471,523 pieces. In addition, the trend is down by 84 percent and warnings in 2021, amounting to 16,077 warnings compared to 2020 of 262,276 warnings, a downward trend of 94 percent," explained Central Java Regional Police Chief.

The Central Java Regional Police Chief appealed to the public to obey government regulations to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and continue to traffic properly and comply with traffic regulations.
