Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Pekanbaru. After conducting a vaccination review for the disabled community which held at the Riau Regional Police Vaccine Center on Friday (13/8/2021), the Chief of Riau Regional Police, Police Inspector General Agung Setia Imam Effendi had the opportunity to convey to the media crew the implementation of Micro Restrictions (PPKM) level 4, which is currently running until August 23 in several areas in Riau.
The Chief of Riau Regional Police said the Police held Operation of Aman Nusa II, specifically to handle the Covid-19 problem at level 4.
"Initially, Micro Restriction of (PPKM) level 4 was only applied in Pekanbaru, and now it is also applied in Dumai, Rohul, and Siak. But, of course, we ask for the cooperation of all elements of society," explained the Chief of Riau Regional Police.
The Chief of Riau Regional Police said that his party realized that many people were disturbed with the Micro Restriction (PPKM) because of the partition.
"I need to underline that the partition aims to limit the mobility of the community, because the covid virus is spread from person to person, by reducing mobility, it will reduce meetings between people," he explained.
"Hopefully, by reducing this mobility, we can prevent the transmission of Covid from person to person," he continued.
The Chief of Riau Regional Police said that the decline in the number of positive confirmed cases in Riau in the past two days, which was quite significant from 1500-2000, dropped to 700. His party was grateful for the community's willingness to participate in joint efforts to prevent transmission by reducing mobility and hope that they can work together by limiting activities carried out in the future that already regulated by the domestic government in the Micro Restriction (PPKM) level 4 issue.
"Those who are allowed to carry out activities, we invite them according to the rules of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Mayor's Regulations," he concluded.
