To ignite the spirit of independence and commemorating the 76th Indonesian anniversary, Indonesian National Police, through Noken Community Development Unit Task Force, gave national flags to residents of Jiginigme village, Irimuli district, Puncak Jaya regency, on Friday (August 6, 2021).
During the sharing event that afternoon, led by the Coordinator of Community Development Unit of Puncak Jaya, Police Inspector 1st Class Alaudin Patawary, and his two personnel, they also distributed face masks and informed public security and order to the public figures and youth figures of Jiginigme village.
When confirmed, Police Inspector 1st Class Alaudin Patawary said that in commemorating the 76th Indonesian independence anniversary of this year, the Community Development Unit of Puncak Jaya distributed national flags to residents of Jiginigme village, Irimuli district, Puncak Jaya regency.
"We saw several worn-out national flags in Jiginigme village. It made us sad. So, with high awareness and a sincere heart, we gave them the red-and-white flag to be installed in front of their houses. Besides giving the national flags, we also encourage all residents of Jiginigme village to, together with Armed Forces-Police, maintain security and order in their own neighbourhoods. Report to us if you saw suspicious newcomers", Police Inspector 1st Class Alaudin Patawary said.
The Chief of Community Development Unit of Puncak Jaya Departmental Police also hoped that everyone, during this Covid-19 pandemic, consistently implements Health Protocols such as wearing masks, keeping their distance, washing their hands often, and avoiding crowds that everyone could avoid the Coronavirus transmission.
At the end of the event, Noken Community Development Unit Task Force personnel distributed face masks to all Jiginigme village residents.
Meanwhile, the Youth Figure of Jiginigme village, Mupe Enumbi, thanked the Noken Community Development Unit because of their presence in the middle of the community to distribute national flags and face masks. He promised to assist the Police in maintaining the public security and order at Jiginigme village.
