Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesia Development Monitoring (IDM) again surveyed the performance of law enforcement. The results of the Public Opinion Poll with the theme 'Public Evaluation of the condition of law enforcement in the era of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government, will be conducted from 4 October to 16 October 2021.

IDM Executive Director Fahmi Hafel said law enforcement, especially the performance of the Attorney General's Office and the National Police during the two years of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin administration, began to give hope. Several signs of improvement were caught by the public even though fundamental problems, such as law-abiding culture and the mentality of the officers, were still unresolved.

He explained that the community's evaluation of law enforcement conditions was recorded in a poll conducted by the Indonesia Development Monitoring (IDM).

The majority of respondents (85.7 percent) currently assess the condition of law enforcement during the two years of this administration as running as good, even better, compared to the previous period according to the public. Only 12.1 percent stated that law enforcement conditions were not going well, and 2.2 percent did not provide an opinion.

"Public perceptions and attitudes towards legal institutions that perform very well and bring many changes to enforcement are illustrated by the highest appreciation achieved by the Attorney General's Office, which is appreciated by the public for good performance in law enforcement and eradicating corruption, which is appreciated by 88.6 percent of respondents," said Fahmi Hafel through a written statement, Thursday (11/04/2021).

Meanwhile, the Police of the Republic of Indonesia, which was appreciated by 80.2 percent of respondents, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), which was appreciated by 67.6 percent of respondents, and the Supreme Court of 52.1 percent.

Fahmi said the survey results also recorded the highest public trust in law enforcement agencies in the Attorney General's Office (AGO) compared to other law enforcement agencies.
