Some time ago, residents of Palembang City were concerned by the action of motorbike gangs, which often resulted in an act of violence by them.

To prevent the increasing number of criminal acts by motorcycle gang members, the police immediately intervened by sweeping various sections of Palembang City.

A total of 142 joint personnel from the South Sumatra Police, Palembang Polrestabes, and the TNI sweep many roads in Palembang City, on Sunday (13/2/2022) early morning.

The hunting patrol was led directly by the Head of the Polrestabes Palembang, Commissioner Mokhamad Ngajib, accompanied by key officials from the South Sumatra Police and the Palembang Police.

By riding a motorcycle, the joint team explored the roads in Palembang, such as Jalan Jendral Sudirman, Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Jalan Veteran, Jalan Kapten A Rivai and other protocol roads.

"Tonight's activity anticipates an incident that can cause public unrest. Among them are brawls and groups of teenagers who hang out late midnight so as not to disturb the community," said the Palembang Police Chief.
