HR Assistant to the National Police Chief (Kapolri), Inspector General (Irjen) Drs. Wahyu Widada, M. Phil., represented by Head of the Bureau of Psychology, Brigadier General Kristiyono, S.IK., M.Sc.,opened the training with the theme "Psychology Provision for Community Service Officers T.A 2022" at The Tribrata Darmawangsa Building, Jakarta, Thursday (3/2/2022).
The event was also attended by the Main Officials of the National Police SSDM, the Daily Chief of Kompolnas, Inspector General of Police Dr. Benny Jozua Mamoto,.S.H., M.Sc., and Lecturer of the Faculty of Psychology at Binus University Jakarta, Dr. Drs. Wing Ispurwanto, M.B.A., M.Sc.
In his speech, Head of the Bureau of Psychology stated that currently the National Police has entered the 4th grand strategy, namely excellent. In the excellent strategy, there should have been no more complaints. However, the truth is that the incident has gone viral on social media.
"Public trust that was built jointly by the National Police is currently damaged due to few mistakes, especially now that social media that could amplified incidents and make it go viral," explained the One-Star General.
He also added when the National Police Chief, Police General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., held a meeting with the Indonesian House of Representatives regarding the performance of the National Police evaluation in 2021,the National Police has a target, namely to encourage changes in Police Culture that are close and loved by the community with the following strategies:
1. Public Service: Fast, easy and uncomplicated service. Nice and friendly staff and the quality of service can be felt by the community. The service must be available for complaints and complaint handling.
2. Law enforcement: Maintaining the prestige and dignity of the Police, siding with the community, especially the weak. Providing legal certainty, promoting restorative justice, Gakkum (Ultimate remedium), and upholding human rights.
He also hopes that this activity will be able to make a real contribution to improving the performance of the Police to achieve satisfactory service and zero mistakes at the forefront of Polri services.
"Do this kind of activity in their respective areas, so that all members of the National Police have a good mindset in serving the community," he concluded.
