Helping Residents During Community Activity Restrictions, South Sulawesi Regional Police Distribute Social Assistance to the Middle of the Sea

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Lae-Lae Island. The caring action was again carried out by the Traffic Director of South Sulawesi Regional Police. This time the activity was carried out by distributing food packages to fishing communities and residents of Lae-lae Island.

The Head of Sub-Directorate for Regident Traffic Director of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Muh Yusuf Usman said, providing assistance to fishermen from the Lae-lae island community during the implementation of PCommunity Activity Restrictions level 4 is expected to be very helpful for them.

"It is hoped that what is given able to ease the burden on the community a little," explained the former Traffic Director at Makassar Regional Police, accompanied by Chairman of Facilities and Materials and Chief of Vehicle Number Licensing, Traffic Director of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Friday (08/06).

The Head of Sub-Directorate for Regident, South Sulawesi Regional Police's Traffic Director explained, before arriving on the island of Lae-lae, several fishermen who were found looking for fish in the sea, were immediately given assistance by passing each other.

In Lae-lae Island, the delivery of food packages is done door-to-door. Apart from Lae-lae Island, there are other islands that have been visited to distribute aid, explained the Head of Sub-Directorate of Regident, South Sulawesi Regional Police's Traffic Director.

Activities by distributing food packages will be carried out every day. And the total that has been distributed to the community is around 5,000 packages. The distribution of basic needs will be carried out and targeted until the Community Activity Restriction ends.

"Alhamdulillah, many people themselves feel helped by the assistance that was distributed. Although the value is not much, but it can be useful for them," he concluded.
