Tribratnews.polri.go.id – Kendari. The Head of Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, Pol. Inspector General Yan Sultra, together with Military Regional Command 143 Halu Oleo Brigadier General Jannie A. Siahaan synergized to provide assistance with 100 food packages to coastal communities in Labuan Beropa Village, Laonti District, South Konawe Regency, by sea using the Director of Water and Air Police Ship at Southeast Sulawesi.
On the way to Labuan Beropa Village, passing fishermen also received sustenance by being given basic food assistance directly from the boat.
Not only this time, the community in Labuan Beropa Village has received assistance several times in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic to date. The impact of the pandemic was felt by the community, the majority of whom are fishermen.
The Head of Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police said that basic food assistance to coastal communities was part of the concern and synergy between the Indonesian National Police and the National Armed Forces, especially in lightening the burden on the community.
It was also emphasized to the community, even though they live in coastal areas, they must still pay attention to health protocols such as using masks, washing hands, and shaking hands at a distance.
Because COVID-19 knows no regional boundaries, anyone can be affected by this corona virus even if they live in waters that must be taken by sea.
