Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional police Sends 150 Personnel to Help Maintain Post-Fire Security at Tangerang Class I Prison

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. After the fire that occurred in Block C II of Tangerang Class I Prison, the Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police immediately dispatched 150 personnel to help.

Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Mohammad Fadil Imran, explained that the hundreds of Polri personnel consisted of members of the Mobile Brigadier (Brimob) and Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police's Patrol Unit and members of the Tangerang Metropolitan Resort Police.

The two-star general explained that the fire that occurred in Block C II of Tangerang Class I prison was successfully extinguished for 2 hours and the situation is now under control and conducive.

"We have deployed 150 personnel to help in Tangerang prison," said the Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police Chief, Wednesday (09/08/2021).

The Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police Chief also expressed his deep condolences to the families of 41 narcotics convicts who died in the fire incident.

The Head of Public Relations of the Directorate General of PAS at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Rika Aprianti, revealed that there were a total of 122 inmates in narcotics crime cases who filled the Block C II detention room of the Tangerang Class I prison.
