Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. During 2020, Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police detailed as many as 8,204 cases of traffic accidents that caused 9,682 deaths and losses, reaching IDR 19 billion.
Greater Jakarta Mtero. Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Mohammad Fadil Imran, said as many as 1,930,983 traffic violations also occurred in Jakarta and its surroundings during 2020.
"From the 8,204 accidents, the estimated loss is more than IIDR 19 billion," explained the Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police Chief.
The two-star general hopes that the 2021 Patuh Jaya Operation can reduce traffic violations and accidents.
"Traffic is one of the characteristics of people who obey the law and maintain social order," explained the Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police Chief.
In this operation, police officers will prioritize education methods and socialization of traffic compliance.
In addition to increasing community discipline in traffic, this 2021 Patuh Jaya Operation aims to increase community discipline in implementing the Covid-19 health protocol.
Meanwhile, the Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police Chief's Directorate of Traffic Security will hold Operation Patuh Jaya 2021 for 14 days from Monday 20 September to Sunday 3 October.
A total of 3,070 joint personnel were deployed to secure the 2021 Patuh Jaya Operation, including 1,391 Regional Work Unit personnel and 1,679 Resort Work Unit personnel.
