Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police Arrests PCR Test Result Forger

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police arrests a woman who initialled FN, who has forged PCR test results since June 2021. From her action, she made a profit of Rp11 million.

Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus, stated that FN has been in operation since the implementation of Emergency PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions Enforcement) around a month ago. In a month, FN admitted to selling 20 fake PCR test result statements.

"She admits that she has been issued 20 fake test results since June 2021. We are investigating whether there is more", the Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police said.

Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police added that FN orders the statement from a person now on the wanted list. It was known that FN sells fake results for several hundreds of thousand rupiahs.

"She sold tickets and fake PCR test results for Rp700,000. She was able to issue PCR statements without tests. Therefore, with the additional price of Rp700,000 for a fake test. So people would get a plane ticket plus fake PCR test result", the Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police explained.

She bought the statements for Rp300,000 to Rp400,000. Therefore, she made a profit of Rp300,000 to Rp 400,000 for fake PCR results", Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police said.

Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police affirms the public not to use fake PCR test results as the travel requirements because it endangers many lives.

"The effect is hazardous. Passengers could fly with negative test results without any tests. Because the person was not tested, this person could be positive and transmit the disease to other people", Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police said.

For her actions, FN is subjected to Article 35 and 51 of Law No. 19 of 2016 about Electronic Information and Transaction Law (revision of Law No. 11 of 2008) and Article 263 of the Indonesian Criminal Code.
