Regarding the extension or abolition of the odd-even system following the implementation of Micro Restrictions (PPKM)Level 3 in Jakarta Metropolitan Area, the Directorate of Traffic Management of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police together with the Jakarta Transportation Agency held a meeting to be held this afternoon on August 24, 2021.
Director of Traffic Management Police Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, said that while waiting for the meeting, the odd-even system is still in effect today.
Previously, the system was used to replace the blocking point in PPKM Level 4. Odd-even, among others, occurred on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, MH Thamrin, Merdeka Barat, Majapahit, and others.
However, as of Monday, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, announced that the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan area and surrounding had the status of PPKM Level 3. This policy is valid from August 24 to 30, 2021.
