Director of Traffic Management, Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Pol Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said his directorate opened up the possibility of expanding the odd-even points. However, this will be reviewed first after the government sets the PPKM level 4 decision on 23 August.
"We will see on August 23 how the regulations are from the government. Is it later reduced so that only the Sudirman-Thamrin area, which initially had eight points, and if for example the government's decision is tightened again, we will add it," he explained at the odd-even points Sudirman, Saturday (21/8/21).
Police Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo also said the odd-even implementation was currently being evaluated. Further developments will be adjusted to the decision and easing from the government. However, his party will continue to enforce health protocols to reduce the number of active cases of Covid-19.
"We are calculating the level of mobility, of course, there will also be an increase compared to the rules for blocking using Worker Registration Certificate, but all of this we are also adjusting to the easing set by the government in relation to Jakarta's condition which is getting better in handling Covid-19, and although there are updates, we We must not be careless and remain vigilant because the number of Covid-19 could increase at any time because the pandemic is not over yet," explained the Director of Traffic management.
