Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police said that Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police is reenforcing odd-even plates during the extension of Level 3 PPKM (Community Activity Restriction Enforcement) in the capital until September 13.
Police would enforce direct fines to car drivers violating the odd-even plates started today, Tuesday (7/9/2021). "On the limitation of odd-even mobility, we are not standby in the region's entrances just like we used to", Traffic Director of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police said.
According to the Traffic Director of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, the punishment for the odd-even plate violators would be conducted through electronic fines (ETLE) and manual.
"We are keeping the road sign. So people who try to violate the rule will be punished", he said.
The Traffic Director of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police also said that officers in the field would punish the violators with fines in places along the Sudirman-Thamrin and HR Rasuna Said corridors, such as in Senayan Roundabout, Semanggi Interchange, Patung Kuda Roundabout, Mampang Intersection, and Imam Bonjol street, beside the General Electoral Commission building.
Personnel withdrawals on the odd-even plate region gateway are also conducted because the campaign information is already quite long. Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police deemed people have understood the odd-even plate area.
"The campaigning has been long, so I think people have understood enough", he said.
The Traffic Director of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police has reduced the odd-even plate locations from eight to three, along with the PPKM level drop from Level 4 to Level 3.
The three regions are Sudirman and Thamrin street in Central Jakarta and HR Rasuna Said street in South Jakarta. The enforcement hours are still the same, which is 06.00-20.00, except for motorcycles, yellow plates, official vehicles with Armed Forces-Police plates, and official vehicles with red plates.
