Tribratanews.polri.go.id. Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali met with National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the National Police Headquarter, Jakarta, Monday (08/23/2021). This meeting was to discuss the permit for holding leagues 1 and 2 which had been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Regarding the meeting, the National Police Chief conveyed that the National Police gave approval related to licensing for the implementation of league 1 and league 2 on Friday, (08/27/2021). However, the number one person in the Bhayangkara Corps emphasized that the implementation of the league must be balanced with strict health protocols (prokes).
"Of course, we still have to carry out strict procedures, therefore we agree and this has been approved by Indonesian Football Association, the club owners, leagues 1 and 2 earlier, we also asked for an agreement for our fellow football supporters leaders, for this time we will escort it to be carried out without audience," said Listyo.
The granting of this permit, said the National Police Chief, is based on the results of an assessment related to the growth rate of COVID, then an assessment of the BOR (Bed Occupancy Rate) situation, as well as a decrease in several areas.
"So then some concessions were given, based on the results of the assessment carried out by the Ministry of Health and one of them was to relax sports activities, of course with various kinds of restrictions," he said.
The former Police Chief of Criminal Investigation Department also explained, several strict rules and procedures that must be followed in the implementation of leagues 1 and 2. Namely, players and officials who will carry out the match must have been vaccinated twice and the number of officials are limited.
"Secondly, one day before the match, a PCR examination must be carried out to ensure that both players and officials are negative from COVID," he said.
Then, after the match, a PCR or antigen swab examination was carried out again. Furthermore, at the location of the implementation, install the Care Protect application, so that this application can be used to help check related procedures for procedures.
"This has become an agreement and must be obeyed because we are still maintaining that the rate of growth of COVID-19 can really be minimized. But on the one hand, we understand and are given leeway so that community activities can start activities so that everything can run," he said.
