Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Pasuruan. The Criminal Investigation Unit (Sat Reskrim) of the Pasuruan City Police held a press conference on the results of the disclosure of the Fraud Syndicate and or the embezzlement of rental vehicles.
The Pasuruan City Police Chief, Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Arman explained, this afternoon, the Pasuruan City Police released a case of fraud and embezzlement that the Pasuruan City Police Criminal Investigation Unit had successfully uncovered against a suspect with the initials MZA who had been operating for approximately three months.
The perpetrator’s mode is by borrowing a vehicle from the rental then embezzling and mortgaging the victims with the mode of falsifying the leasing evidence as if the car belongs to the perpetrator so that the victims believe and hand over money ranging from IDR 25 million to IDR 35 million per unit of the vehicle. Moreover, the suspect cannot return the money at maturity, said the Chief of Resort Police.
The total loss of the ten victims, namely, approximately IDR 230 million and what the Criminal Investigation Unit managed to secure, eight cars were embezzled by the perpetrators.
The police chief added that the MZA suspect was assisted by suspect H, who falsified the proof of registration so that it seemed as if the car belonged to the suspect. The suspect has been carrying out his actions for approximately three months, from June to September, in the City and Regency of Pasuruan.
Also present at the Press Conference, Mr. Isna Almuzami, the manager of the Isna Trans rental, on this occasion expressed his gratitude to the Pasuruan City Police Chief and his staff for being quick and responsive in catching the perpetrators of the rental car embezzlement syndicate.
