Forming Herd Immunity, Banten Regional Police Keep Conducting Vaccination

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Serang. To accelerate herd immunity in areas under the jurisdiction of Banten Regional Police, Banten Regional Police keep opening vaccination outlets across Sectoral and Departmental Police of Banten Regional Police.

Chief of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto Silitonga, stated that Banten Regional Police have administered 479,461 doses consisted of 364,951 first doses and 114,150 second doses. The programme was initiated with the involvement of the Banten Regional Police in May 2021.

"Thank you to Bantenese because of the high vaccination enthusiasm so that vaccination rate keeps increasing", Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto said on Friday (08/10/21).

The Chief of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police explained that vaccination to remote areas has also been conducted by Banten Regional Police.

"This is reflected by vaccination and social service events conducted by the Alumni of Class of 1999 of Police Academy to the Baduy tribe in Ciboleger some time ago", Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto said.

For now, the vaccination focuses on regions holding village elections because, this October, three regencies under the jurisdiction of Banten Regional Police would commence village elections.

"Until the end of October, our focus on vaccination is the regions commencing the village elections such as Tangerang, Pandeglang, and Lebak regencies", Chief of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police said.

"Besides regions with village elections, other vaccination targets are the factory workers and students to increase offline learning and tourism objects and the managers so that Banten economy could grow and meet the government's target", he added.

Chief of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police explained that mass vaccination aims to support government programmes in suppressing Covid-19 transmission in Indonesia.

"This vaccination effort aims to support the government's programme in accelerating Covid-19 handling and prevention and also implementation of Chief of the Indonesian National Police Presisi programme in the field of operational transformation on the stabilisation of Indonesian National Police support in Covid-19 handling", Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Shinto added.

To conclude, Shinto encouraged everyone to support the vaccination programme.

"I advise the unvaccinated people to get vaccinated. Banten Regional Police and its Departmental Police have facilitated people who want to get vaccinated. Because vaccination could strengthen body immunity and preventing Covid-19 transmission", Chief of PR and Press Agency of Banten Regional Police concluded.
