Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Manado. North Sulawesi Police Chief, Police Inspector General Nana Sudjana, distributed social assistance (bansos) in the form of basic food packages to journalists on duty within the North Sulawesi Regional Police and other relevant agencies.
This social assistance was handed over directly by the North Sulawesi Police Chief, accompanied by the North Sulawesi Deputy Police Chief, Brigadier General Pol. Johnny Eddizon Isir and several high ranks officers of the North Sulawesi Police, told representatives of journalists in the lobby of the first floor of the North Sulawesi Police Headquarters, Friday (20/8/2021) afternoon.
The North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief said that the Covid-19 pandemic and the implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) resulted in limited community activities and the economy was somewhat disrupted. According to him, due to PPKM, there are certain restrictions from the Government on the community, but all of them are for the benefit of the community so that they are safely free from COVID-19.
“At this happy time, the North Sulawesi Regional Police are providing assistance to fellow journalists. And this is a form of concern from us (Police) to our fellow journalists who have always worked together,” explained the North Sulawesi Police Chief.
Between the police and journalists, he said, are inseparable. “Between police and journalists is like a symbiosis mutualism, they need each other. We need journalists as well as journalists need police activities,” said the North Sulawesi Police Chief.
The Chief of Regional Police hopes that the social assistance provided in the midst of this pandemic can be useful in easing the burden on journalists.
"We hope that in the future, the cooperation between journalists and the Police will increase and become more intimate," concluded the Two-Star General.
