Gas and water checks were carried out to ascertain the substances or toxins contained in the sewers, resulting in five people's death.
The Head of the Sub-Division of Environmental Toxicology (Tokling) for the National Police Headquarter's Forensic Laboratory Center, Police Commissioner Faisal Rachmad, explained that at the crime scene (TKP), the team found that there was a toxic gas that is very dangerous to humans in the culverts.
"From the results of a temporary examination at the crime scene, what we found was that there was a gas that was very dangerous for humans," said the Head of the Tokling Sub-Division of the National Police Headquarter's Forensic Laboratory Center
The team took gas samples and took samples of the water contained in the culverts because it was strongly suspected that the water had been mixed with toxic gas to cause death.
"Regarding the concentration and type of gas, we will carry out further inspections at the Tokling Sub-Directorate of Forensic Laboratory Center; the results will be announced soon," said Police Commissioner Faisal Rachmad.
