Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Denpasar. Within two days, Bali Regional Police who were involved in Operation Aman Nusa Agung II-2021 carried out security and escorted vehicles transporting 32 tons of medical liquid oxygen to number of hospitals in Bali.
This escort was carried out for the smooth distribution of oxygen supply to hospitals. In addition, this distribution acceleration need to be on time so oxygen needs can be fulfilled during the increasing number of Covid-19 cases.
According to Head of Public Affairs of Bali Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Syamsi, in the distribution that took place on Sunday (8/8/2021), tank truck with Police Number A 9820 ZA belong to CV. Langgeng Gas Surabaya carrying 15 tons of oxygen was escorted by personnels from Highway Patrol of Main Unit III Gilimanuk and Battalion C Pioneer of Mobile Brigade Unit of Bali Regional Police.
"In today's distribution (Sunday, August 8 2021) 15 tons of oxygen have been distributed to six hospitals in Bali," Head of Public Affairs of Bali Regional Police said, on Sunday (8/8/2021).
For details, 2.5 tons of oxygen was distributed at Kerta Husada Hospital, Buleleng and 3 tons of oxygen at Klungkung Hospital. Then at Bros Hospital Denpasar 1 tonne of oxygen and 1.5 tonne at Bali Jimbaran Hospital. Furthermore, at Mangusada Hospital in Badung 1 ton and at Wangaya Hospital in Denpasar 3.5 tons.
"The distribution of 15 tons of oxygen is the most at the Denpasar Wangaya Hospital, which is 3.5 tons," Head of Public Affairs of Bali Regional Police said.
Previously, on Saturday (08/07/2021), Police Grand Commissioner Syamsi explained Mobile Brigade Unit of Bali Regional Police was also escorting the distribution of 17 tons of oxygen to hospital which was transported using 2 vehicles.
Tons of oxygen were distributed to five hospitals, such as Buleleng General Hospital, Tabanan Hospital, Bali Mandara Hospital, Unud Hospital and Wangaya Hospital. In addition, personnels from Mobile Brigade Battalion B Pioneer Mengwi also oversaw the distribution of 160 large oxygen cylinders and 24 small oxygen cylinders from PT Samator to hospitals in Denpasar and Gianyar.
In detail, hundreds of oxygen cylinders were escorted to Bakti Rahayu Hospital in Denpasar, Sanglah Hospital, Sanjiwani Hospital in Gianyar, Kasih Ibu Hospital in Saba Gianyar and Bangli Hospital.
Head of Public Affairs of Bali Regional Police mentioned the availability of oxygen is essential thing that must be met immediately amid the increase in Covid-19 cases.
"Once again I emphasize that the escort is carried out for the smooth distribution of oxygen so it arrives at the hospital safely and on time, so oxygen needs can be fulfilled," he said.
