Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Palembang. The South Sumatra Regional Police succeeded to uncover 61 drug cases and arrested 74 suspects during the second week of June 2021.
"Cases is increasing in the second week of June," as explained by the Head of Public Affairs of South Sumatra Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Supriadi, Monday (06/14).
The evidence seized was 722.94 grams of methamphetamine and 119.5 grains of ecstasy pills was, while marijuana was 30.11 grams.
"For the police reports, the most is from Palembang City Resort Police with 14 LPs (report) and 15 suspects, the Muara Enim Resort Police with 6 LPs (report) with 9 suspects and the Banyuasin Resort Police with 6 LPs (report) and 8 suspects," the Head of Public Affairs of the South Sumatra Regional Police explained.
The quality of the evidence confiscated were the Prabumulih Resort Police with 289.54 grams of crystal methamphetamine, the Drugs Directorate of South Sumatra Regional Police with 136.19 grams of crystal methamphetamine and the Lubuk Linggau Resort Police with 106.73 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
"From the evidence confiscated from the suspects, the South Sumatra Regional Police and the Resort Police [in South Sumatra] managed to save 4,762 people from the dangers of drugs," the Head of Public Affairs of the South Sumatra Polisaid mentioned.
As a way to support the 100-day work program of the Chief of Indonesia National Police, the Resort Police especially those whose work area covered the Sumatran cross-lane area, should further increase the activity of routine raids on traffic lanes at dangerous hours and be aware of suspicious vehicles, especially those with vehicle plates outside the region.
