Chief of Banten Regional Police, Police Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho accompanied by the Chief Deputy of Banten Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Ery Nursatari, along with the High-Rank Executives of the Banten Regional Police, received a visit from the Chairman of Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Police Commissioner-General Mochamad Iriawan along with staff in the Chief of Banten Regional Police's office, Friday (24/09/2021).
This visit is in the context of gathering and coordinating the readiness of the football match, which will be held in the jurisdiction of the Banten Regional Police. During his visit, the Chairman of PSSI Police Commissioner-General Mochamad Iriawan was also accompanied by PSSI staff.
The Chairman of PSSI said, in coordination with the Banten Regional Police, PSSI fully supports the Anti-Mafia Football Task Force to carry out surveillance and eradication of the football mafia in the Indonesian football industry.
"It was also conveyed the potential for abuse in football scoring, which is the domain of the Task Force," said the Chairman of PSSI.
"In essence, PSSI and the Football Antimafia Task Force support each other in eradicating the football mafia," said the Chairman of PSSI.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Banten Regional Police welcomed PSSI's request for security and supervision of the football match held in the Banten Regional Police's jurisdiction.
"This is very good, and we will do it. It's just a matter of how technical it will be, will be discussed further," He said.
The Chief of Banten Regional Police said that with the opening of PSSI and a commitment to support eradicating the football mafia, his party would prioritize prevention.
"However, if there is an act of violating the law in the form of match-fixing or match-fixing, of course, we will take firm action." Said Police Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho.
