Food Trucks Capable of Cooking 18,000 Foods a Day, Sent to Cianjur

Mobile Brigade Corps of the Indonesian National Police continued their effort in aiding the people of Cianjur post the earthquake that rocked the city and its surroundings. One of their effort is providing free foods for the refugees.

The Head of Indonesian National Police Public Relations, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said six public kitchen has been built in Cariuk Village, Cianjur.

“Mobile Brigade Corps has built public kitchen for the refugees to fulfill their needs. The public kitchen, which is a food truck, was operated by five to ten personnel,” quoted Inspector General Dedi in his official statement, Wednesday (11/23).

According to him, each food trucks could made up to 3,000 food packages, so in a day they would atleast provide around 18,000 food packages for the refugees.

“We will continue our best effort in fulfilling the needs of the refugees,” said Inspector General Dedi.

The police will also used their bloodhounds to search for the missings that has been listed by National Board for Disaster Management. From the 151 people that had gone missing, only seven that has been found.

A sudden earthquake shocked Cianjur on Monday (11/21). The earthquake damaged thousands of buildings and houses and thousands more forced to leave their house.
