In the opening of the Drug-Resilient Village Innovation, urine test was carried out for the youth of Drug-Resilient Village, East Java Regional Police. In addition, in this place there is also a consultation room and drug rehabilitation, and a mini library.
The Director of Drug Investigation of East Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Hanny Hidayat explained the task of eradicating drugs is not only about enforcement, but also prevention, and it must involve relevant stakeholders. Because with good communication and coordination, collaboration in the eradication and prevention of drugs can be carried out properly.
"Drug eradication is not only about enforcement, but also prevention so that East Java can be drug-zero. We can save thousand of children. The national economic recovery of an area can run well, towards a drug-free Indonesia," The Director of Drug Investigation of East Java Regional Police explained.
The Directorate of Drug Investigation of East Java Regional Police also said in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the village is strong enough to clean drugs at the sub-district/village level. Village officials, and stakeholders have an important role in providing explanations to youth and children, in order to prevent drug abuse.
"The Drug-Resilient Village in East Java has been formed, and we will keep continuing this [prevent drug abuse] by involving relevant stakeholders," The Director of Drug Investigation of East Java Regional Police explained.
