inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A total of five people suspected of hijacking a Brimob Corps officer were arrested. The five are suspected of hijacking the police in Jatisampurna, Bekasi City, on Tuesday (15/2) early in the morning.
"Currently, we have arrested the five suspected perpetrators and are still under intensive investigation by investigators," explained the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the Metro Jaya Police (Polda Metro Jaya), Commissioner Endra Zulpan, Wednesday (16/2/2022).
Kabid Humas also confirmed that the victim was indeed a member of the Brimob corps. Based on the initial information, the identities of the five robbers were MH a.k.a H (17), RMI a.k.a I (20), AM a.k.a U (17), MAL a.k.a A (18), and RH a.k.a R (17). The alleged perpetrators were arrested on Tuesday (15/2) night, around 20.00 WIB.
The victim, Aipda ES, was on his way from work and passed through the Jatisampurna area, Bekasi, on Tuesday morning at around 02.15 WIB. While on the road, the victim was hijacked by the perpetrator and attacked with a sharp weapon until he fell. The perpetrators then took the motorbike away.
With the help of the people around the area, he reported the incident to Polsek Jatisampurna.
