Tribratanews.polri.go.id. - Attack. The Indonesian Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) personnel have arrested the suspected perpetrator of smuggling lobster seeds (benur) on the Tangerang-Merak toll road section.
Chief of the Main Highway Patrol (PJR), National Police's Traffic Corps', Capt. Denny Catur Wardhana said that before arresting the police, they were involved in a chase with the perpetrator who was driving a Xenia type car.
"At around 03.00 AM GMT+7, the National Police's Traffic Corps' personnel were on a routine patrol, then tried to approach the driver who stopped on the shoulder of the road, but instead ran away. We then chased him," he said in a written statement received in Tangerang.
His party said that when officers were about to approach a car that stopped on the shoulder of the KM31 road, then fled and a chase ensued until it was successfully stopped at KM34. When examined, there were 30 thousand lobster seeds (fry).
"When it is checked, it turned out that in the car there were 30 thousand lobster seeds in the package," he added.
The Head of the Main PJR, National Police's Traffic Corps' revealed that the lobster seed smuggling effort was planned to be immediately transferred to the Tangerang District Police, to be followed up on the case.
"We will coordinate with the regional police (Tangerang District Police) for follow-up," he said.
The suspect who brought the car containing dozens of fry seeds had the initials AS and one colleague, namely HN, a resident of Wanasalam, Lebak Regency, Banten.
"All evidence of the fries, the car and the two carriers of lobster seeds were secured to the PJR Induk Serang office, Tamer toll road," he concluded
